Nederland Community Center (.5 mi North on HWY 72, or walk the path up Jefferson St.)
  • Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Cereal, Yogurt, Banana, Coffee, and Orange Juice
  • $12 Adult, $5 Under 12, $5 requested contribution for 60+
  • Sponsored by and supporting the Nederland Area Seniors.
11 am – 8 pm • Grandpa’s Mall Crawl
Downtown Nederland (1st St. east of the Visitor Center)
  • Nederland’s 1st. St. transforms into a pedestrian mall so revelers can enjoy street performers and participate in brain freezing and frozen t-shirt contests, icy turkey bowling and more!

11 am – 1 am • ReAnimate Yourself Tent Open

12 noon • Parade of Coffin Racers & Hearses

The parade starts at the Teen Center, 151 East St. (East end of 1st St.) and goes up (west on) 1st St.

  • Parade Participants check-in and line up at the Teen Center
12 noon – 4 pm • Snowy Human Foosball

  • It’s like Foosball with real people (6 per team)
  • $5/Player (walk-up registration—just show up!)
  • Spectacular Prizes

What would happen if the frozen dead guy thawed out and came back to life? Could he convince anyone he was the real Grandpa Bredo during the festival? This tongue-in-cheek musical provides an enjoyable event with it’s toe-tapping songs and hilarious situations.

FDGD Coffin Race

Guercio Field
  • Teams of six pallbearers and one corpse race head to head, through a course full of obstacles, mud, snow, and drills.  All team members must cross the finish line to qualify for advancement. Coffins are required to have three sides.
  • Prizes awarded for the teams with the best time, most creative costume, and most notable course performance.

2 pm – 4 pm • Ice Carving Competition with Bongo Love and Friends

  • View some of Colorado’s most talented ice carvers create works of art right before your eyes and vote for your favorite before it melts.

  • A local independent TV pilot series.
3 pm – 4 pm • Frozen T-shirt Contest

  • Try and slip into something frozen… faster than everyone else
  • $10 entry fee; register onsite at Guercio Field (between the two tents)
  • Waiver onsite.

On 1st St.
  • Contestants race against each other downing frozen slushies for fabulous prizes
  • $5 entry fee; register at the event proceed go to the Nederland Food Pantry
  • Waiver onsite.

On 1st St.Icy Turkey Bowling at FDGD
  • Test your poultry bowling skills in the Frozen Turkey Bowling Contest… you’re welcome to BYOFF (bring your own frozen fowl)
  • $5 entry fee; register at the event
  • Waiver onsite.

3 pm – 5 pm • Frozen Horseshoes
Gold Dirt Distillery in Rollinsville at 275 Tolland Rd.
  • Take your horseshoe out of a bucket of water and toss it to the stake. Beat your opponent.
  • Free to participate
  • Live music by Fast Floyd 5:00 – 8:00 pm
  • Craft cocktails with spirits distilled onsite
  • Waiver onsite.

4 pm – 5 pm • Frozen Fix-A-Flat
On the Clock Tower Patio at 112 E 2nd St. (by Tin Shed Sports & Salto Coffee Works)
  • Dunk your hands in a cooler of ice for 1 minute and see how quickly you can fix a flat tire on a bike wheel! Several rounds take place as soon as the Coffin Races end, until 5 pm.
  • Live music by J.W. Schuller Trio 3:00 – 5:30 pm
  • Prizes awarded
  • Waiver onsite.
