Coffin Races, live music, outrageous games and a crowd that fully commits to costumes. Rain, snow or shine.

The Main Event: Coffin Races

Teams of seven race handmade coffins through a timed obstacle course: six pallbearers carry, one corpse rides inside. Two teams run each heat; in 2026 the fastest times advanced.

Between the Heats

Music, games and art run all day on Saturday.

    Live Music

    All festival-stage music happens on Saturday. In 2026: Andy Frasco & The U.N., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Gasoline Lollipops and Colorado favorites. The 2027 lineup hasn't been announced.

    Games & Contests

    Drop-in fun between races, from the Frozen T-Shirt Contest to cornhole. Returning in 2027, details soon. Festival partners help bring these moments to life. In 2026 they included Odell Brewing Co., Munchin' House, and Alcor, among others.

    Artist Exhibition & Art Sale

    Original art inspired by winter, folklore and dark humor, on display and for sale. In 2026, the Artist Exhibition and Art Sale was presented in partnership with Aspen & Evergreen Gallery.
